Our Story
Huevo Frito – it rolls off the tongue. Flavours from the sunny side of Spain.
I am Carlos Gurrea, founder of Huevo Frito. An egg, enjoyed cooked with a splash of oil. Founded in 2022, the company’s mission links back to my native land and my Spanish mother who loved to cook from scratch with fresh ingredients, bursting with texture and flavour to ignite all four senses with every bite. It’s how I developed an appreciation for finer food.
Cuisine is a language which unravels a story of culture, history, family, and right at the centre of it, people. People who enjoy the art of cooking and eating the most authentic ingredients. It is rare and quality produce which cannot simply be duplicated or found in supermarkets, but hand-picked and specially sourced to completely transform the entire tasting experience. And so, the online Gourmet market place was born – Huevo Frito. We pride ourselves on being a source of inspiration to recreate and delicately execute the most traditional dishes from my homeland. We are always on the hunt for the very best ingredients that will be savoured and loved by our customers, and we never stop evolving.
